Recently completed work on this t-shirt design for Team242, which hosts it's annual David Browne Ride benefitting the American Heart Association. This year the crew is riding through the "UP", the upper peninsula of Michigan and this shirt heralds the hilly and (hopefully NOT) bear filled terrain they'll encounter on this week long marathon ride! Definitely check out their cause and donate if you can!
Design Like Mad, The Shirt
As part of helping with Design Like Mad this year (it's less than two weeks away!), I had the great opportunity to design the event t-shirt. It was a ton of fun putting this together, and the design is finally on its way to the printer ahead of next weekend's event. The shirt features many designer tools with animals using them to race to the finish because, well, animals racing in giant design tools is awesome. Trust me, I did the math.
Recent Drawings
It's been a while since my last update due to on-going longer term projects which I can't post on yet, however I wanted to post some recent drawings created in the intern. First is a rather technical drawing of a tree harvesting machine for a shirt design. These machines are scary efficient (YouTube.com) at taking down trees and trimming off branches.
Next are a couple of drawings for card designs, each utilizing a very different graphic style, but they both have "fun" in common!
Friends and Family Illustration
This is an illustration commissioned for a t-shirt design for Mobius Medical Systems. Designer and marketing director Neal Miller created the overall concept design and typography, while I created the illustration featuring all those fun family activities! The shirt is promoting the use of Mobius' products as a way to save time in the clinic, giving you more time for life outside of work, and will be given away as a promotion at this summer's AAPM (American Association of Physicists in Medicine) annual meeting in Austin, TX.
